Stephanie first found CrossFit in 2012 when a friend brought her to a class that consisted of 10 rounds of Tabata burpees and pull-ups. It was not love at first sight. That workout punched her in the face. She thought she would never go back.
Fast forward to 2013, while attending a service school, an instructor incorporated CrossFit-style training into the mandated physical fitness. This time was different. Stephanie was all in.
She completed her CF Level 1 in 2014, followed by Gymnastics and Weightlifting certifications in 2015 and 2016, and completed CF Level 2 in 2020.
After a major injury in 2020, Stephanie had to redefine what fitness looked like. That’s the awesome thing about Crossfit, your desire to get better, PR, high-five, keep moving and be healthy doesn’t just stop because you’re not in the gym or have an injury. You can always keep moving, and your community will make sure of it.
Training alongside others creates accountability, pushes you on the hard days, and often brings out more effort than when you are alone. There’s nothing quite like finishing a tough workout with someone who shares your crazy.
